Database File Selection (Linked Database Wizard)

Allows you to select the database file or database link file you want to link to.

File to Link

Displays the file you want to link to.  Click the ... button to select the file you want to link to or to specify the filename for the new Database Link File, depending on the option you chose on the Select what you want to do tab.

Connection Type

Select the connection type.  The options are:

MS Access Database (MDB)

Select this if you want to link to an Access database (MDB file).

MS Excel Spreadsheet (XLS)

Select this if you want to link to an Excel spreadsheet (XLS file).

Custom

Select this if you want to build a connection to another database.

Connect button

Click this to attempt to establish the connection to the database.  If you selected Custom for the Connection Type you will be prompted to specify additional connection information through the standard Data Link Properties dialog box provided by Windows.

Table Name

Select the name of the table within the database you want to link to.
