Insert a Linked Picture Object

1.  Select Linked Picture on the Tool menu then click in The Design Area at the position where you want to insert the linked picture.

 

OR

 

1.  Click the Add Linked Picture button on the Quick Tools Panel.

 

2.  Use the Link Picture dialog box to select the picture(s) you want to link.

 

 

note Notes:

 

A Linked Picture object is used to insert an image (logo, icon, bitmap, what ever you want to call it) into your design.  The object stores the filename of the picture file in your design file, but not the actual picture.

 

Linked Pictures are really text objects with the text in the format: [-PICT=filename-].

 

Because Linked Pictures are stored as Text Objects, you can use all the options on the Text tab in The Property Editor to specify how to obtain the picture filenames.  For example you can use the Variable Text dialog box to specify a list of image filenames to use or you can use the Linked Database Wizard to link the object to a database full of filenames.
