Insert a Counter (auto increment field)

1. Select Text or Rich Text on the Tool menu then click in The Design Area where you want to insert the counter.

1. Click the Add Counter button on the Quick Tools Panel.

2. Enter the properties for the counter in the Counter Properties dialog box.

3. Use the Style tab and Effects tab in the The Property Editor to further customize the counter.

Note:

•	The default style for a text object, Text (No Wrap), causes the text to wrap only where you insert a hard line break regardless of the width of the object's bound. If you want your text to wrap to the width of the object's bound, set the style to Text (Wrap).

•	Rich Text objects do not have a Style or support Effects, but can contain formatting for each character, word or paragraph.
